I’m Krizia and I am a 24-year-old girl living in San Diego. After living in the well-renowned city of Los Angeles for three years, it was only natural that I found my passion for overall wellness, style, and beauty. What a surprise right? L.A. millennial girl who loves her kale smoothies, beauty hacks, & fashion.
After following a life of excessive partying + alcohol, unhealthy foods, and fad diets, I made the big change. Not only food wise but mentally, I tried to be more positive and I decided to adapt to better habits to change those that were not doing me any good. And well, my outcome was awesome. I thought that blogging would be the perfect opportunity not only to inspire and share my journey with others who are in the same boat, but it will also be a great way to keep track of my own progress. I found that posting my progress and having people rely on my advice became my own support system.
My main objective is to deliver posts with useful tips and lifestyle ideas that I believe most women can connect with, while also sharing my methods to incorporate wellness into my lifestyle. In other words, I’m gonna show you how easy it can be to make “healthy” not so boring.
With time you’ll get to know a little more about myself, my story, and what made me so passionate about mental + physical health. Even though I try to be as healthy as possible, I’m only human and I still try to enjoy life as much as possible. I get a bunch of questions on my lifestyle so I figured I’d answer some of them for all of you guys here.
Do you drink?
Yes, I do. I try to stay away from binge drinking though, and I usually drink alcohol during the weekends or on special occasions. Weekdays are my healthy days and if I’m going to have a cheat day or have some drinks I tend to do it on weekends. I also try not to have sugary cocktails, Not only are they super unhealthy but they just give me really bad hangovers.
What’s a healthy drink you would recommend?
I loveeee whiskey sours if I’m going to have a cocktail. When I’m at home I usually make myself some tequila with a lot of lime and sparkling water. That’s my go-to drink other than tequila shots and red wine.
Are you vegan?
Oh no, I don’t think I’d be able to stay away from chicken, eggs, seafood, and even red meat (which I try to have as little as possible). I’m a foodie!!! I love food.
I do stay away from dairy altogether. I used to have cheese here and there but the healthier I started to eat the more intolerant I was to dairy so I don’t really have cheese anymore either.
Are you paleo?
I’m not paleo, keto, or anything like that. I try to listen to my body and whatever works for me. Sometimes I go a whole week without having any animal products. It’s basically what am I in the mood for and how healthy I’m trying to be. It’s also hard being in a Mexican household where there’s a bunch of my childhood favorite foods being made all the time.
What do you do when you go out to dinner?
To be honest, anywhere you go nowadays has healthy options. I try to order salads, veggies with fish or chicken. If I really want to try something I don’t restrain myself, I just ask my friends or family members to give me a bite! That works because I get the cravings out of the way and keep eating my healthy choice. Sometimes I just want to have a filet mignon and I do, but I try to order the 6 oz. not the 8 or 10. When I do indulge, I just balance it out with a workout the next day and keep going on with life. I mean, I have In-N-Out once in a while…. how can I not?
How many times a week do you work out?
I try to workout 4 times a week at least. But again, I’m only human and sometimes I can go a whole week without exercising…. BUT I’m extra careful with food. I also do a lot of home workouts when I don’t want to go to the gym.
